A handsome prince. A cowardly bird catcher. A kidnapped princess. A queen who may or may not be evil. A high priest who may or may not be evil. And a lustful servant who is evil. How to make sense of it all?
Mozart’s The Magic Flute is both a charming fairy tale and a deeply mystical exploration of the transcendent power of love. This delightful mix of magic, music, and myth includes the famous Queen of the Night’s aria and other familiar tunes. Co-artistic director of the Aspen Opera Theater and VocalARTS program and international conducting luminary Patrick Summers leads a full orchestra in a production staged specially for the Klein Music Tent and featuring the opera stars of tomorrow.
Don’t miss this one-night-only performance!
